Hang in strips or suspend between two poles. The slightest breeze causes the red/silver Mylar to flash and crackle, irritating and confusing birds.

One of the simplest methods of bird control is reflective tape, which deflects blinding light when the sun shines on it. It also produces a crackling metallic noise when the strip is lifted by the slightest breeze. Multiply this effect on a large scale by tying the strips of tape around trees and poles around a property. The result is an overwhelming assault to the birds senses that disorients them and causes them to seek other places to forage.
