DryerJackis engineered specifically for the demanding requirements of roof venting a dryer.
For dryer efficiency and safety, the shortest and straightest ducting route is always best. Every turn increases friction loss (unless you use non-restrictive elbows). Air velocity reduction from friction loss promotes lint build up and makes the dryer work harder to completely dry each load. Length of run also reduces efficiency. The longer the run, the more friction loss is created which is why building code restricts total run length. Often, going straight up through the roof is the shortest route.
The new DryerJackis the most efficientroof vent designed to meet the more stringent venting requirements of dryer exhaust systems. Curved damper and interior dimensions all work together to free the dryer to perform at peak efficiency. Because code forbids the use of screens and requires a damper for dryer exhaust, installers previously had to alter the vent and / or settle for bad performance.
Today, you have a code compliant option right out of the box.
The watertight DryerJack 477 seamless hood delivers superior protection. Combined with the hood shape and damper design, DryerJacks provide added protection against water intrusion.
DryerJacks are optimally designed for roof pitch between 3/12 and 12/12.
